Christmas Woes

I am utterly failing at my Christmas shopping... I've got something for dad, my grandmas and something for my cousin. I can't figure out what to get for either of my brothers or my mom. They're almost impossible to shop for! I'm usually more on the ball with my Christmas shopping. It's usually all done by September!

My older brother only wants gun stuff... I really don't want to buy him gun stuff for Christmas. It just seems ridiculous.

My younger brother has consistently gotten a subscription to Car and Driver Magazine from me for years now... and he's bored with it but won't come up with something else.

Mom is impossible to shop for. She's an impulsive buyer, so anytime she wants anything, she gets it. How do you shop for someone who has everything they want?

I also wanted to get something for my two bosses, but I'm at a loss there too...

Gifts for the Outdoorsy Type

I'm not outdoorsy. I love the idea of the outdoors, but once I'm there I end up being so paranoid about spiders that I can't enjoy myself. I envy those people who are fearless and go out hiking and climbing and camping and such! Give your outdoor lover some useful toys for their trips into nature!

1. EcoUsable Water Bottles ($9-15)- These stainless steel water bottles come in a variety of sizes and designs! They have a filter, so you are drinking water free of nastiness. The bottles are lightweight, so they're not cumbersome to carry around! They're also 100% recyclable, however I don't really understand that concept, since who is going to toss their water bottle? 2. Backpack Picnic Set- Hooray for mobile food! I can't actually recall ever going on a picnic. It would be a fun experience though! Outdoorsy people love being outside whenever they can be- so let them eat meals out there too!

3. Swashbuckling BBQ Sword- Love cooking over a campfire? I got into a sword fight with a friend once with pokers while we were doing s'mores... too bad we didn't have these! This sword thing is 19" long, so your hand is a fair distance from the flame. You even get a little Zorro mask!

4. SureFire Flashlight ($40-200)- These flashlights are small, but they pack a serious punch! They have a wide range of lumens, and many can be set on multiple brightness levels depending on what you're using it for. Some are so strong they can be seen from space! My brother had one that had a texture that was safe to touch but could cut through stuff like soda cans and seatbelts! Law enforcement and military use SureFire flashlights as part of their tactical gear. They're very effective as protective equipment because if you're attacked (by man or bear I suppose), you can click the easily pushed button on the end and temporarily blind your assailant. 5. Canon PowerShot Waterproof Digital Camera- This is a 12.1 MP waterproof camera with 3x zoom with image stabilization and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. If you know someone who likes to go outdoors, they need this! It can be used in water up to 33 ft deep, and is resistant to temperatures of 14-104 F (anyone who is an avid camera user knows that cameras can sometimes have trouble shooting in extreme temperatures). It's also shockproof up to 4 ft, so you can drop it and it'll survive! My camera wouldn't do that... shock resistance would be nice...

Gifts for the Motorhead
